Sri Lanka, July 31 -- Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Qi Zhenhong, said that the China-Sri Lanka 'Joint Research and Demonstration Centre' (JRDC) for Water Technology have been indispensable in scientific research, talent development, and social services.

He added that the Chinese Academy of Sciences has invested significant effort into creating a talent training model that combines Master's and Doctoral education, short-term training, visiting scholar programmes, and the President's International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) programmes.

The Chinese envoy was speaking at the CSC, ANSO and UCAS's Scholarship Awarding Ceremony at the JRDC premises on July 25.
