Sri Lanka, Oct. 27 -- The Government should pay more attention towards the strengthening of country's national security, considering the current deteriorating security situation all over the country.

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara made these remarks recently at a media briefing held at Opposition Leader's House in Colombo.

He said, since the country's current security situation is deteriorating day by day, we hear lots of irregularities and killings from every part of the country.

He also mentioned the recent killing of the Chairman of Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha and said responsible authorities must take immediate action to prevent such happenings in the future.
