Chief Government Whip and Cabinet Spokesman, Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa told Parliament that the Government is prioritizing international law and humanitarian considerations when responding to issues arising in the Indian Ocean region.
The Minister said that second Iranian vessel is currently not within Sri Lanka's territorial waters but is situated in the country's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) near the maritime boundary.
