Sri Lanka, Dec. 26 -- The Government has decided to spend Rs. 46,317 million to implement 16 new infrastructure development projects in State universities.
These projects will be carried out under the 2026-2030 Public Investment Plan.
The new initiatives will focus on the Universities of Moratuwa, Peradeniya, Vavuniya, Sri Jayewardenepura, Ruhuna, Eastern, and Uva Wellassa, as well as the Open University of Sri Lanka.
Under the plan, the Moratuwa University will receive Rs. 3,594.14 million to construct a professorial unit and procure equipment for its Faculty of Medicine.
