Srilanka, June 15 -- The Government has utilised approximately Rs. 1,350 billion for capital expenditure this year and intends to allocate Rs. 2,000 billion for capital expenditure from the budget for the upcoming year, Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said.

The Minister disclosed these facts while participating in the launching ceremony to develop 14 roads in the Kalutara district by carpeting them under the Second Integrated Road Investment Programme (iRoad). This programme is one of the main state projects implemented for the development of rural and regional roads in the Kalutara district.
