Sri Lanka, March 25 -- SJB MP Mujibur Rahuman yesterday urged the Government to present a relief plan for those who will be badly affected by the upcoming price hike in all goods and services followed by significant increases in fuel prices recently. He accused the Government for neglecting to provide a safety net for lower-income groups.

The increase in oil prices directly affects industries and production in all sectors of the economy. The Government should intervene and resolve their problems before the stakeholders in these sectors go on strike and win their demands.

He stated this while participating in a media conference held at the Samagi Jana Balawegaya head office yesterday.
