Sri Lanka, Aug. 19 -- Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody said that the government is so interested in even small or medium-sized solar power projects because every unit of electricity produced from renewable energy, including solar power, contributes to protecting the environment and saving foreign exchange.
He said this while participating in the inauguration of the latest solar power plant built by Vidullanka Company in the Padukka area this morning (16).
