Sri Lanka, Oct. 20 -- The GovPay program, enabling motorists to pay on-the-spot fines for traffic violations, officially became operational in the Southern Province from today (20).
A media briefing was held at the Government Information Department to provide details about the initiative.
Authorities stated that this facility will be introduced in the Northern Province from next month, with plans to extend coverage to all nine provinces before the end of the year.
The program aims to streamline fine payments and enhance road safety through a convenient digital platform.
