Government's handling of dengue weak - Sajith
Sri Lanka, July 3 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday criticised the Government's handling of the dengue epidemic, condemning the national strategy as weak, ineffective, and reactionary.
Sri Lanka has recorded an alarming surge in infections, with cases surpassing 55,000 and 32 deaths. This problem is serious in 538 Grama Sevaka divisions in 14 districts,
He said that the administration has failed to control the spread, acting only after the situation reached crisis levels.
