Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- The Government has allocated Rs. 375 million for activities related to disappeared persons.

During a commemorative programme to mark the 2026 International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances on the theme "Victims First - Immediate Action," Matara District MP Ajantha Gammadda who presided said 'we have a responsibility to deliver the truth and justice that their families seek'.

"Our country's economy had completely collapsed due to the financial crisis. Just as people disappeared, the country's money also disappeared.
