Government improves fiscal position with Rs.915 Bn Treasury buffer - Minister
Sri Lanka, June 13 -- Labour Minister and Finance and Planning Deputy Minister Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando told Parliament yesterday that the Sri Lankan Government successfully improved its fiscal position through revenue-based consolidation and strict expenditure management to record a positive primary balance and establish a substantial Treasury cash buffer of Rs. 915 billion.
By improving tax revenues and better managing expenditures, the Government successfully created and maintained substantial cash buffers in the Treasury.
