Sri Lanka, Aug. 26 -- Sri Lanka's top amateur golfers, led by triple consecutive winner Chalitha Pushpika, will battle for supremacy when the Sri Lanka Golf August Ranking Tournament tees off at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) today.

The three-round event, played on the par-71 course, will run until Thursday, with the top 15 players making the cut after two rounds.

Pushpika, the country's number one ranked amateur who missed the July event, will return to action, while last month's champion Reshan Algama, Sri Lanka's leading junior golfer, is also in the field. The current national amateur champion Jevahan Sathasivam will join them, adding strength to a competitive draw.
