Sri Lanka, June 24 -- Defence Deputy Minister Major General (retd.) Aruna Jayasekara informed Parliament that steps will be taken to handover the gold and jewellery seized from the LTTE to court within the next three months.

Responding to questions raised by Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) MP S. Shritharan under Standing Order 27/2 in Parliament yesterday (23), he stated that the military does not have any information regarding the details of the gold and jewellery seized from the LTTE and emphasised that steps will be definitely taken by the Government to handover the relevant items to courts within another three months.
