Sri Lanka, April 10 -- Chief Government Whip, Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa told Parliament that the strike initiated by the Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) is unjust and the Government will not proceed with the meeting scheduled for yesterday (9) with the GMOA, following the Union's decision to launch a 48-hour strike.
Responding to a question raised by Jaffna District MP Ramanathan Archchuna yesterday (9) on what action the Health Minister plans to take over the continued GMOA medical strike, the Minister said that if the GMOA behaves in this manner, the discussion given today will be cancelled.
