Sri Lanka, April 6 -- Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) Secretary Dr. Prabath Sugathadasa stated that the association is ready to call off its trade union action if the Health Minister or the Government intervenes to address and resolve the outstanding issues regarding the transfers of medical officers.
Speaking to the media in Colombo yesterday (5), he stated that the strike, which began on Saturday (4), was extended until 8:00 am today following a decision by the executive committee at its meeting on Saturday.
