Sri Lanka, March 31 -- Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne visited China's Hainan Province to participate in the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026 recently.

The delegation included Parliament's Secretary General Kushani Rohanadeera, and Director Legislative Services and Acting Director of Communications Jayalath Perera.

On March 25, the Speaker met Boao Forum for Asia's Chairman Ban Ki-moon, and Secretary-General of the Forum Zhang Jun. During the meeting, Ban Ki-moon reflected on the significance of the Boao Forum for Asia as a longstanding platform for dialogue and co-operation in Asia, particularly at a time of increasing global uncertainty.
