Srilanka, Feb. 15 -- The investigation into the brutal assassination of a lawyer and his wife has seen a major breakthrough.

Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province, Sajeewa Medawatte, confirmed today that police have successfully identified four suspects involved in the shooting.

The victims were targeted by two gunmen on February 13 while parked at a supermarket in Akuregoda.

Following the discovery of the suspects' burnt getaway vehicle in Baddegama earlier today, police have intensified their search. Special operations are now underway across the province to apprehend the identified individuals as quickly as possible.
