Sri Lanka, Oct. 20 -- Four people have been killed in a major road accident involving a cement mixer truck and several other vehicles in the Kurugoda Seven Mile Post area of Akurana, police said.

The collision also left several people injured, with victims being rushed to hospitals for medical treatment.

Hospital authorities said injured victims were continuing to be brought in for treatment as emergency response efforts remained underway.
