Sri Lanka, Oct. 17 -- Former Executive Director of the State Engineering Corporation (SEC) and businessman, Nilu Dilhara Wijedasa, who was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) yesterday (16) morning, has been released on bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court.

He has been arrested on corruption charges for allegedly causing a financial loss exceeding Rs.1.6 million to the Government and for making an illegal profit for the United National Party (UNP) by misusing SEC employees and property in 2019 for the renovation of the UNP headquarters at Sirikotha without following due process.
