Sri Lanka, Oct. 9 -- Sri Lanka's official foreign reserves increased by 1.1% in September compared to August, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).
The official reserves grew by $65 million, rising from $6.178 billion in August to $6.243 billion in September.
The CBSL stated that the reserve assets include proceeds from a currency swap facility received from the People's Bank of China, which is equivalent to $1.4 billion. The CBSL noted that the use of this swap facility is subject to certain conditions.
The highest level of official foreign reserves recorded in a single month this year was $6.5 billion, reported in March.
