Sri Lanka, Sept. 15 -- Restrictions on fuel supplies by foreign companies are causing serious difficulties not only for customers but also for fuel station operators, with many struggling to meet their monthly expenses and pay staff salaries, President of the Fuel Station Owners' Association Kumar Rajapaksa said. Addressing a media briefing on the current situation, Rajapaksa said the impact of reduced fuel supplies was being felt not only by the general public but also by a large number of fuel station owners across the country. He said fuel stations incur substantial fixed monthly expenses, including salaries, utility bills and other operational costs, regardless of the volume of fuel sold.
