SriLanka, Sept. 28 -- Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath is scheduled to deliver Sri Lanka's National Statement at the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York today (28).

Herath is leading the Sri Lankan delegation to the UNGA session from September 27 to 30, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism.

The General Debate is being held under the theme "Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation: A United Nations That Delivers for All."

During the High-Level Week, Herath is also scheduled to meet UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, senior UN officials and Foreign Ministers of several countries on the margins of the General Assembly.
