Sri Lanka, July 9 -- A South Korean-backed investment in Sri Lanka's fisheries sector is converting discarded fish waste into high-value export products, generating millions of dollars in foreign exchange while addressing a major environmental challenge.
Yesol Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd., established at Madurankuliya in Puttalam with an investment of US$ 3 million, has introduced a modern fish waste recycling operation that produces fish meal, fish oil and fish paste exclusively for export markets.
