Sri Lanka, Feb. 13 -- The Ministry of Education announced today (13) that the first phase of the 2026 school term has concluded, and all government and government-approved schools will observe a holiday until March 2.

The second phase of the first term is scheduled to begin on March 3 and continue until April 10, the Ministry stated.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (2025) examination, which is set to commence on February 17 and conclude on February 26. This year, the Department of Examinations will conduct the exams at 3,545 centers nationwide.
