Sri Lanka, April 23 -- Three floors of a four-storey textile shop located in the centre of Manikhinna town were badly damaged by a fire that broke out in the early hours of yesterday (22) morning.
Manikhinna Police stated that several other shops adjacent to the said shop were also damaged by the fire. The fire had broken out around 4:00 am yesterday, and the Police suspect that it might have been caused by an electrical leak. The Manikhinna Police, the Kandy Municipal Fire Fighting Unit, and residents doused the fire in two hours.
