Sri Lanka, Feb. 24 -- A fatal road accident occurred early this morning (24) on High Level Road near a petrol station in Pannipitiya, resulting in one death and three injuries.

According to the Police Media Spokesperson's Office, the collision was triggered when a bus swerved to avoid a three-wheeler that had carelessly entered the main road from the petrol station.

The bus subsequently crashed into a lorry parked nearby.

Of the three survivors, one remains in critical condition, while the other two sustained minor injuries.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
