Sri Lanka, July 6 -- The Anuradhapura, Kekirawa, and Sivalakulama Police reported that the first accident occurred between the 16th and 17th kilometetr posts on the Yakalla-Galkulama main road, within the Sivalakulama Police jurisdiction on Friday evening. A motorcycle travelling from the direction of Sippukulama towards Yakalla collided with the rear of a bicycle travelling ahead in the same direction.
The cyclist, identified as 66-year-old Tikiri Bandage Gnanasiri, a resident of Yakalla Road, Sippukulama, succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.
