Sri Lanka, May 11 -- The Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education has taken steps to appoint a special expert committee to formulate a comprehensive national policy on medical education in Sri Lanka.Sri Lankan Publishing
The committee consists of 15 experts in the field of medical education and is chaired by Colombo University Vice-Chancellor Prof.Indika Mahesh Karunathilake.
The decision has been made recognising the strategic importance of strengthening medical education to meet national health requirements. The committee is tasked with the responsibility of developing a broad national policy framework to guide the future of medical education in the country.
