Sri Lanka, Oct. 20 -- Minimising reliance on pharmaceutical imports, expanding local medicine production, and increasing export revenue will be a primary objective of the Government over the coming decade, Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said.

The Minister expressed these views during an inspection tour of the insulin manufacturing plant of Premium International Injectable (Pvt) Ltd, located in the Koggala Export Processing Zone in Galle. Construction of the facility, built with an investment exceeding Rs. 3 billion, has now been completed.
