Sri Lanka, April 23 -- The Ehi Passiko Peace Walk led by Ven. Pannakara Thera and a group of senior Buddhist monks commenced from the Dambulla Vihara premises yesterday. This peace walk aimed at promoting global peace will continue till April 28 with full State patronage.

Making a special statement before the beginning of the walk from Dambulla to the Aluviharaya in Matale, Ven. Pannakara Thera urged everyone to establish peace at home before seeking world peace. "Let us eliminate anger, hatred, jealousy and envy, so that there will be peace in the whole world", the Thera said.
