Sri Lanka, Aug. 31 -- Private bus drivers and conductors operating under the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Road Passenger Transport Authority (SPRTA) will be brought under the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees' Trust Fund (ETF) schemes from tomorrow (September 1), SPRTA Chairman L. Kalutota said.

He made the announcement during a meeting with private bus owners in the Ratnapura District held at the Ratnapura Provincial Council Auditorium on August 26. The move follows a decision reached at a discussion between the Ministry of Transport and the heads of the SPRTA and other transport service institutions.
