Sri Lanka, Sept. 20 -- Ambassador Mahinda Samarasinghe met Democratic Congressman Gregory W. Meeks at the Rayburn House Office Building recently and briefed him on the recent developments in Sri Lanka.

Congressman Meeks is currently serving as the Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and he formerly served as the House Foreign Affairs Committee's Chairman during the 117th Congress.

Deputy Chief of Mission Madhuka Wickramarachchi and Defence Attache Commodore Dumindu Abeywickrama accompanied the Ambassador.
