Sri Lanka, Oct. 24 -- The quality of entertainment in the Internet age is perhaps fathomed by seeing what's on offer on Netflix. The platform has so many movies on offer, but there is hardly anything that's worth watching, most of the time. They say it is because volume trumps quality,and that indeed viewers can find something good if they wade through the tens of hundreds of movies on offer.

But people don't necessarily have the time or the inclination to do that. So they will end up watching whatever is there,as that is the entertainment culture that we have inherited on the Internet. The lowest common denominator determines everything it seems, and it is odd to think there was a time people thought television sitcoms were bad.
