Srilanka, March 17 -- The Minister of Energy, Engineer Kumara Jayakody, today (17) provided Parliament with an update on the country's current fuel reserves. The statement was made in response to a question raised by the Leader of the Opposition, Sajith Premadasa.

Minister Jayakody outlined the availability of key fuel types as follows:

Diesel: Stocks are sufficient until April 12

Super Diesel: Reserves are adequate until May 10

Octane 92 Petrol: Supplies are sufficient until April 23

Octane 95 Petrol: Stocks are available until May 10He further emphasized that these projections take into account both the fuel stocks currently stored within the country and shipments for which supplies have already been confirmed.
