Sri Lanka, Jan. 6 -- Minister of Energy Engineer Kumara Jayakody has reaffirmed that the government will fulfill its commitment to lower electricity tariffs.
Speaking in Parliament today (06), Minister Jayakody stated that, in line with the government's policy statement, electricity bills are set to be reduced by 30% over the next three years.
"Don't rush; please be patient a little longer. Our policy statement clearly outlines that electricity tariffs will decrease by 30% within three years," he emphasized.
The Minister made these remarks while responding to questions raised by Opposition MP Chaminda Wijesiri during the parliamentary session.
