Sri Lanka, March 3 -- The Government has extended the State Of Public Emergency to be effective again from February 28.
The gazette notification extending the State of Emergency was issued under the signature of the Secretary to the President.
According to the notification the extension is in the interests of public security, the protection of public order and the maintenance of supplies and services essential to the life of the community.
