Sri Lanka, March 11 -- Two newly established companies have informed electricity sector employees to continue performing the duties they have carried out so far in order to maintain the electricity supply.

The companies, Electricity Distribution Lanka Private Limited and National Transmission Network Service Provider Private Limited, issued statements requesting employees to ensure the uninterrupted supply of electricity.Geographic Reference

The companies noted that all services related to electricity supply have been declared essential services through a Gazette notification. Accordingly, employees have been instructed to continue maintaining the supply service.
