Srilanka, Oct. 11 -- Representatives of the United Nations Technical Electoral Needs Assessment Mission while acknowledging the credibility and transparency of Sri Lanka's electoral framework on Tuesday commended the role of the Election Commission. They also expressed the UN's willingness to extend technical assistance to support ongoing and future electoral reforms.
The delegation held a series of consultation meetings at Parliament premises with key Parliamentary stakeholders to assess opportunities for international support to strengthen electoral processes in the country.
