Sri Lanka, July 28 -- Eco Spindles (Pvt) Ltd and Gunadamin Elephant House marked the period following Poson Poya Day with meaningful environmental action, bringing together employees, volunteers and community partners to protect the sacred Ruwanwelisaya premises while demonstrating how discarded plastic can be transformed into valuable resources.

Conducted in Anuradhapura on 30 June 2026, the day following Poson Poya Day, the corporate social responsibility initiative brought together 60 volunteers, including 20 employees from Eco Spindles and Elephant House, alongside representatives from the Thilaka Eco Centre and local communities.
