District MPs to co-ordinate, streamline area health services
Sri Lanka, May 11 -- A Member of Parliament has been appointed as the "District Health Co-ordinating Officer" for each district to enhance health service co-ordination and streamline preventive and curative care.
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal submitted by Health and Mass Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, aimed at minimising service gaps and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources based on regional priorities.
