Sri Lanka, Oct. 6 -- Sri Lanka established diplomatic relations with Antigua and Barbuda last Friday.

The agreement in this regard was signed by Sri Lanka's Ambassador to the United States Mahinda Samarasinghe and Antigua and Barbuda's Ambassador to the United States Sir Ronald Sanders in Washington D.C.

With the signing of the agreement, the Sri Lankan Government and the Antigua and Barbuda Government have established Diplomatic Relations between the two countries with immediate effect, the Foreign Ministry said.
