Sri Lanka, Jan. 4 -- Sri Lanka's opposition MP Dilith Jayaweera has said he expects President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to oppose what he described as actions taken by Washington against Venezuela, pledging his "unconditional backing" if the President adopts a firm position.
In a post on X, Jayaweera stated that Sri Lanka's "socialist president" would likely object to the United States' moves on Venezuela and voiced support for a strong response to what he termed an "anti-democratic move" by US President Donald Trump against a sovereign nation.
