Sri Lanka, July 13 -- National Dengue Control Unit Acting Director Dr. Kapila Kannangara said yesterday (12) that due to the ongoing dengue control and prevention programmes, the number of high-risk Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions has decreased from 174 to 160.

Accordingly, he stated that the mosquito control programmes currently being implemented to manage the dengue mosquito will continue to be carried out over the next two weeks as well.

He said that these programmes are being implemented with the support of the International Red Cross, primarily focusing on government institutions, including health and defence sectors, along with community assistance.
