Sri Lanka, Aug. 26 -- Court proceedings relating to former President Ranil Wickremesinghe resumed at the Colombo Magistrate's Court on Tuesday (26).

Colombo Chief Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura is scheduled to take up the case filed against Wickremesinghe, who is currently in remand custody over allegations of misappropriating Rs. 16.6 million in public funds.

Court officials said Wickremesinghe, due to his health condition, will not be physically present but may join the proceedings via Zoom if required.
