Sri Lanka, March 9 -- Fourteen Muslim national level community organisations have urged President Anura Kumara Dissanayake not to take forward the draft law on the proposed 'Protection of the State from Terrorism Act.
A media release by the National Shoora Council said the organisations had sent a joint letter to the President pointing out that the Protection of the State from Terrorism Act (PSTA) is more draconian than the existing Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act (PTA).
