Sri Lanka, July 21 -- A Chinese delegation held discussions with Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation Minister K.D. Lalkantha yesterday (20) regarding the establishment of an agricultural machinery hub in Sri Lanka.

The meeting was held at the Govijana Mandiraya, where the delegation sought necessary information from Sri Lankan officials to proceed with the proposed project.

The discussions focused on introducing modern agricultural machinery for land preparation, paddy and crop cultivation, reducing post-harvest losses and supporting value-added agricultural production.

The Chinese delegation also agreed to assist with soil sample testing in collaboration with local universities to provide technical support for the initiative....
