Sri Lanka, Aug. 6 -- Charana TV, a television channel of SLT-MOBITEL PEOTV, was recently recognised at the 31st Sumathi Awards 2026, winning the 'Best Educational Programme' award under the Best Social Media Awards category.

The award was presented for 'Seethala Ithala', one of Sri Lanka's leading youth talk shows, which provides young people with a platform to speak on issues of importance to them.

Through 'Seethala Ithala', Charana TV has created a significant stage for young people to express their opinions and ideas. The programme not only initiates dialogues on social issues but is unique in allowing young participants the opportunityto enrich these conversations with personal and external observations from their own lives.
