Sri Lanka, April 9 -- Focus was made on challenges arising in the release of lands held by Security Forces in the Northern and Eastern Provinces and in reopening closed road sections, along with possible constructive solutions during the Ministerial Consultative Committee on Defence held on Tuesday (7) under the chairmanship of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in his capacity as Defence Minister.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the progress of previous deliberations, as well as on issues raised by MPs representing the Northern Province as well as both Government and Opposition parties.
