Leafy and Low Grown teas attracted reasonably good demand despite fluctuations within grades, while High and Medium Grown liquoring leafies softened, with the exception of Select Best.
Orthodox and Rotovane BOP/BOPFs sold well amid limited supply. Ex-Estate offerings, at 0.66 million kilograms, were similar to the previous week, with quality reasonable for the season.
In the Western region, Best and Below Best teas continued to sell strongly, with select invoices gaining Rs. 20-40 per kg, while others slipped by a similar margin.
