Sri Lanka, Oct. 7 -- National Co-operative Exports Limited (NCEL), India, and the Sri Lanka Consumer Co-operative Societies Federation Limited (COOPFED) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Colombo to strengthen cooperation in the supply of essential commodities, food security and cooperative development.

The MoU was signed by Unupom Kausik, Managing Director, NCEL, and Dr. Shantha Jayarathne, Chairman, COOPFED, in the presence of Wasantha Samarasinghe, Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development of Sri Lanka, and High Commissioner of India, Santosh Jha.
